A man has lost his licence for a year after he was caught drink-driving at West Beach.
It will be alleged that about 2.20am on Sunday 12 January, police spotted a Mazda station wagon on Tapleys Hill Road with the front bumper hanging off the car.
When police tried to stop the car, it allegedly collided with the median strip on the road.
The driver, a 46-year-old Lightsview man underwent a breath test and returned a positive reading of 0.164.
He was reported for drink-driving, he was issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice and his car was impounded for 28 days.
He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
