10 Apr 2025 6:26am

Luckily there were no injuries after a car crashed into a house at Prospect overnight.

The driver lost control of the vehicle in Arthur Street, Prospect about 12.45am on Thursday 10 April and crashed through the front fence of one property and into the verandah and front of the house next door.

A Volkswagen 4WD parked in the driveway sustained minor damage from the fence and other debris.

SES were later called in to shore up the verandah for safety.

The driver, a 21-year-old Prospect man, was not injured in the crash.  He recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.074 and has been reported for driving without due care and fined for drink driving.

He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

His Lexus sedan was towed from the scene.
