Car fire at Ferryden Park

About 11.45pm Thursday 18 July, emergency services were called to Bayfield Court after reports of a vehicle on fire.

When police arrived in the street they saw an Audi sedan engulfed in flames. MFS were able to quickly contain the fire to prevent further damage.

Witnesses reported seeing a tall person in dark coloured clothing running from the scene near the intersection of Bayfield Court and Montrose Street. CIB and Dog Operations Unit were called in to assist but were unable to locate any suspects.

The investigation is continuing and crime scene will exam the vehicle later this morning.
