Crash at Mile End

About 9.50pm on Thursday 27 March, police were travelling east on Henley Beach Road and approaching the South Road intersection. The patrol car’s emergency warning lights were activated as it slowed down and entered the intersection on a red light.

At this time, a Kia sedan travelling south on South Road also entered the intersection and collided with the patrol car.

The police officer and other driver, a 22-year-old man from Kurralta Park, were taken to hospital for assessment of minor injuries.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
