Cyclists injured in crash at North Haven

Four cyclists sustained minor injuries after allegedly being involved in a collision with a ute at North Haven this morning.

Emergency services were called to Victoria Road, North Haven, near Osborne Road, just after 7am on Wednesday 19 February by reports of a collision.

A ute was allegedly involved in a collision with a group of cyclists and drove off.

Four cyclists, a 23-year-old woman, a 25-year-old man, a 26-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, were all taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment of minor injuries.

Police quickly tracked down the vehicle and seized it for forensic examination.

The alleged driver, a 54-year-old North Haven man, was reported for failing to stop at the scene of a crash and driving without due care.  He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Investigations are continuing.
