Death at Gillman Speedway

Police are preparing a report for the Coroner following the death of a rider at Gillman yesterday.

Emergency services were called to the Gillman Speedway about 3.20pm on Sunday 27 April following a crash at a motorsport event.

A 30-year-old man from Queensland sustained serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to hospital. Sadly, the man died last night.

Western District police will be preparing a report for the State Coroner regarding the incident.

Police request that anyone who was present at the race meeting and may have footage of the crash to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 and quote 25-50M.
