Drink driver at Blair Athol

A drink driver has been caught more than four times over the limit at Blair Athol.

About 2.30 am, Saturday 29 June, police were called to Stone Street after reports that a white Mazda sedan had rear-ended a white Toyota sedan, and the driver of the Mazda was asleep at the wheel.

Police spoke with the driver of the Mazda who was submitted to a breath test and allegedly returned a reading of 0.227.

The driver, a 31-year-old Paralowie woman was reported for drink driving and driving without due care. She was issued a 12-month instant loss of licence and her car was impounded. There were no injuries and minor damage to both vehicles.

She will be summonsed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
