Police dog Chaos has arrested a man at Gillman this morning.
About 3.20am Tuesday 5 November police were called to a business premises on Eastern Parade after a man with a backpack was seen lurking on security cameras.
Arriving quickly Western patrols cordoned the business and called in PD Chaos to assist with the search. A short time later Chaos located the man exiting the premises on to Kapara Street and placed him under arrest.
The goodest girl Chaos then re-entered the premises to search for the man’s backpack. Inside she located the backpack which contained an angle grinder and torch. It turns out the man had forgotten to put a battery in the angle grinder and was returning to his car to get it when he was caught!
Patrols located the man’s car parked on nearby Martin Road, inside police allegedly located a small bottle of fantasy (and the angle grinder battery). He was issued a drug diversion for possession of the illicit substance.
The 42-year-old Queenstown man has been charged with being unlawfully on premises and going equipped. He was bailed to appear at the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 3 December.
