Gillman Speedway death

Police are preparing a report for the Coroner following the death of a rider at Wingfield last night.

Emergency services were called to the Gillman Speedway about 10.15pm on Saturday 9 November following a crash at a motorsport event.

A 42-year-old man from Christie Downs sustained serious injuries in the crash and was rushed to hospital. Sadly, the man died this morning.

Western District police will be preparing a report for the State Coroner regarding the incident.
