Police are investigating if a house fire at Torrensville last night may have been sparked by a clandestine laboratory.
About 6.10pm on Saturday 8 March, emergency services were called to Keith Street after reports of smoke coming from the roof of a house.
There were no occupants at home at the time of the fire. Two men attempted to put out the blaze and subsequently suffered smoke inhalation. They were treated at the scene by paramedics.
Fire crews extinguished the fire however the house was extensively damaged.
Fire cause investigators and Serious and Organised Crime Investigators attended the scene and have confirmed the existence of chemicals and equipment consistent with a clandestine laboratory inside the home.
