Man arrested after domestic incident

At 12.30pm on Saturday 28 September police were called to Fourth Street, Wingfield after reports of a domestic disturbance.

When patrols arrived, they located the resident an 85-year-old woman who had been assaulted.

She was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A 88-year-old man was arrested at the scene without incident.

He has been charged with aggravated assault cause serious harm.

The matter is not random with all parties known to each other.
