Man arrested at Bowden

04 Jul 2024 6:33am

A man was arrested after causing a disturbance at Bowden overnight.

About 1.30am on Thursday 4 July, police received multiple calls from the public reporting a man carrying on in the street, kicking bins and yelling around Plant 4 Bowden.

A patrol was already on the way when further calls from residents in an apartment block on Fourth Street, Bowden reported the man had gained access to their building.

Police arrived to find paint tins strewn around the floor and a general mess in the lobby, but it doesn't appear any property was damaged.

The 35-year-old Port Augusta man was arrested and charged with being unlawfully on premises and disturbing the peace.  He was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 24 September.

He was also issued with a drug diversion after being found with methamphetamine.
