23 Jun 2024 12:21pm

A man has been arrested for failing to comply with ANCOR reporting obligations.

On Friday 14 June, detectives from the Public Protection Branch arrested a 47-year-old man from the western suburbs for 12 counts of breaching his reporting obligations.

He was refused police bail and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on the same day.

Detective Chief Inspector Naomi Oberscheidt from the Public Protection Branch says, "Police urge anyone in the community who needs to access support in relation to child abuse or exploitation to visit the ACCCE website – www.accce.gov.au - for a full list of available support services with contact details.

"Members of the public who have information about people involved in child abuse and exploitation are urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or www.accce.gov.au/report - if you know abuse is happening right now or a child is at risk, call 000 immediately."
