Men arrested for drug trafficking in Beverley

Two men have been arrested after Police located a clandestine laboratory in Beverley on Friday.

Following an investigation, on Friday 13 September Detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch attended and searched a property in Beverley and located a clandestine drug laboratory.

During the search, Detectives located approximately 13kg of methamphetamine and 25 litres of 1,4-Butanediol (commonly known as fantasy).

A 35-year-old man from Ashford and a 26-year old man from Glenelg North were arrested and charged with manufacturing a controlled drug for sale, two counts of drug trafficking and the 35-year-old man was further charged with resisting arrest.

Detectives also located and seized cash and luxury vehicles.

Officer in Charge of Serious and Organised Crime Branch, Detective Superintendent Shane Addison said, "Methamphetamine and fantasy pose a serious risk to the community.

Serious and Organised Crime Branch are committed to detecting and preventing methamphetamine and other illicit drugs from being sold and identifying and arresting those who are involved in the illicit drug trade, and seizing the profits of those crime".

Both men were refused police bail and are expected to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today (Monday 16 September).
