Morning breakers caught on camera

Two men have been arrested after breaking into a car overnight.

Just after 4.30am this morning (Tuesday 15 April), police were called to Rose Street in Ottoway, after a victim reported hearing noises in his front yard. The victim reviewed his CCTV cameras and observed two men wearing distinctive clothing rummaging through his vehicle in the driveway.

Numerous police quickly attended the area, however prior to their arrival, the men had left. The victim provided police with a description of the men and reported that they were last seen heading towards Cleveland Terrace.

Patrols searched the area and located the two men walking on Grand Junction Road. Both men were spoken to before being arrested. When searched, a knife was located on one of the men.

A 26-year-old man from Mansfield Park was charged with illegal interference and possess a knife in a public place. The other man, a 29-year-old from Mile End was charged with illegal interference.

Both men have been bailed to attend at the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 13 May.
