Six teenagers have been arrested in an alleged stolen car last night.
Just after 7pm on Saturday 11 January, a witness reported seeing a white Holden sedan on Main North Road, Hillbank acting suspiciously.
Checks revealed the vehicle had been stolen earlier that morning from Enfield.
Polair was quickly overhead and followed the vehicle as it travelled on the Northern Expressway at Penfield where it will be alleged it reached speeds of 190km/h.
The vehicle exited the Expressway at Grand Junction Road where it travelled through the back streets of Mansfield Park, Regency Park and Ridleyton.
At 7.35pm the vehicle was tracked onto First Street where three rear seat passengers were seen to run from the vehicle.
Patrols and Dog Operations, PD Bandit were quickly on scene and located two youths on Forster Street and one on McInnes Street.
The vehicle continued to drive through numerous suburbs and onto Grand Junction Road where it reached speeds of 160km/h.
At 7.55pm the vehicle drove onto De Costa Ave, Prospect where the driver and two passengers ran from the vehicle.
Dog Operations Unit, PD Edge and patrols were quickly on scene and located the three males on Ballville Street.
The group aged between 13 and 17 have been charged with numerous offences including illegal use of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving to escape police pursuit and driving at an extreme speed.
A 13-year-old boy from Devon Park was refused bail, while a 17-year-old boy from Port Augusta (the alleged driver of the vehicle) did not apply for bail. Both boys will appear in court on Monday 13 January.
The other four suspects have been bailed to appear in court at a later date.
