Suspicious fire at Findon

Just after 1.30pm on Wednesday 5 February, police and MFS responded to reports of a house fire on Grange Road.

Witnesses reported seeing flames coming from the second story of the residence. Thankfully no one was home at the time.

Fire crews attended and extinguished the blaze.

Traffic restrictions remain in place for eastbound lanes on Grange Road.

Fire Cause Investigators are attending the scene however police suspect that the fire was deliberately lit.

Western District police have subsequently arrested a 32-year-old man from Hillcrest and he is expected to be charged with arson later today.
