Suspicious unit fire at Novar Gardens

About 12.50am on Friday 14 June, emergency services were called to Bonython Avenue after reports of a unit on fire.

MFS crews were quickly on scene and swiftly contained the fire to the vacant unit, however the entire property was damaged, and the adjacent unit also suffered minor smoke.

On police arrival occupants of neighbouring properties had already evacuated and no one was injured as a result of the fire.

Fire Cause Investigators assessed the scene and determined the fire to have been deliberately lit however the cause is undetermined.
