Two men have been arrested in Port Adelaide by patrols and PD Axe this morning.
About 1.40am Tuesday 26 November police were called to an old factory on the corner of Perkins Drive and Francis Street after reports of an alarm activation.
Patrols entered the building flushing a man out onto the street. Police were able to catch up with the man quickly detaining him. In the man’s possession police located tools, copper pipe and a set of car keys.
PD Axe was deployed and tracked to Honey Street where he located a second man standing next to a Ford sedan. Here police found a bag with tools and copper pipe hidden under the car.
The first man denied the vehicle belonging to him, however when patrols tried the keys in his possession the car unlocked!
The 33-year-old and 48-year-old from the northern suburbs were both arrested and have been charged with unlawful possession and going equipped. They were bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
