19 Apr 2025 8:01pm

Two people were arrested at Port Adelaide this afternoon, a short time after they allegedly broke into a charity store.

Police were called to Commercial Road, Port Adelaide about 2.30pm on Saturday 19 April by reports of two people smashing a window at a local op shop.

The intruders had entered and left the store before police arrived, however, two suspects were located a short time later.

It will be alleged they had property from the store, as well as other items suspected of being stolen from another nearby business, in their possession.

A 30-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman, both from Renown Park, were arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, theft and unlawful possession.

They were refused police bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday 22 April.

The stolen items were returned to the store.
