Witness sought after Alberton assault

Police are seeking to identify a man who assisted a child after she was assaulted at the Alberton Railway Station.

Just after 3.45pm on Tuesday 8 April, a girl exited the train at Alberton and was approached by a man who allegedly assaulted her before walking away.

The man, a 22-year-old from Salisbury North, was arrested over the incident.

Police are seeking to identify the man who stopped to provide assistance to the victim and are urging them to contact police.  The witness is described as being aged in his 40s to 50s with short grey hair.
