Kadina police with support from State Operations Support Branch and Dog and Mounted Operations units, have conducted a successful operation targeting illicit drugs in Kadina and surrounding towns.
On Tuesday 29 April, patrols and Police Dog Fang conducted a search at a Kadina property where it is alleged that police located 400 grams of cannabis and drug equipment. A 59-year-old man from Kadina was reported for trafficking a controlled quantity of drug and possessing prescribed equipment. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Later the same day, patrols conduced a search at a Wallaroo property and police allege that during the search a large amount of prescription medication and cannabis was located. A 59-year-old man from Wallaroo was reported for possessing prescription medication and issued an expiation notice for possessing cannabis.
Police and PD Fang conducted a patrol in the Kadina township and licensed premises where they located three men in possession of cannabis. Police allege that one man was also in possession of a large hunting knife. This man, a 44-year-old from New Town, was reported for carrying an offensive weapon and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
