A drink-driver has been caught with an extremely high blood alcohol reading at Risdon Park.

It will be alleged that about 9.25am today (Wednesday 16 October), police received a report of a man suspected of being under the influence driving away from a business in Gertrude Street, Port Pirie.

Officers tracked the Toyota station wagon to the registered owner’s address and located the driver soon after at his Risdon Park home.

The 56-year-old man underwent a breath test and recorded a positive reading of 0.319.

He was reported for drink-driving and issued a 12-month immediate loss of licence notice. His car was impounded for 28 days and he will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
