17 Feb 2025 11:09am

A drink driver has been caught in the Mid-north over the weekend.

About 10:15pm on Saturday 15 February, police stopped a white Kia Cerato on Horrocks Highway at Stone Hut for a mobile driver test.

The driver, a 65-year-old woman from Stirling North, submitted to a breath test where she provided a positive result of 0.169 – more than three times over the legal limit.

She was reported for drink driving, she was issued a 12 month immediate loss of licence and her car was impounded for 28 days.  She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
