Drink driver reported at Risdon Park

Just after 2am on Friday 18 April, police stopped a man driving a Mitsubishi sedan on Martin Street. The driver was submitted to a breath test and allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.169, more than three times the legal limit for a fully licensed driver.

However, checks on the man’s licence revealed that he held a probationary licence.

A 21-year-old man from Risdon Park was reported for drink driving, issued with a twelve-month instant loss of licence and his car was impounded. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
