Drug driver caught by police

Police stopped woman under the influence of drugs in Gulnare.

Just before 2pm on Wednesday 29 January, police stopped a 54-year-old Gladstone woman driving on Horrocks Highway, for travelling 120km/h in a 110km/h zone.

The driver underwent a driver test returning a positive result for methamphetamine.

Police then searched the grey Holden Calais sedan locating amphetamines and drug paraphernalia.

The driver was issued with a 24-hour driver direction notice, issued with a three-month instant loss of licence, expiated for speeding and drug diverted.
