Port Pirie drink drivers

Two drink drivers were caught in the suburbs of Port Pirie in the early hours this morning.

About 12.15am Monday 9 December police were on patrol when they stopped a Mazda ute on Third Street, Port Pirie West. The driver, a 43-year-old Solomontown woman, was breath tested allegedly returning a positive reading of 0.150.

She was reported for drink driving and lost her licence on the spot for 12 months. Her car was impounded for 28 days and she will be summonsed to appear in the Port Pirie Magistrates Court at a later date.

Later, about 1.30am police stopped a Ford Falcon on Senate Road, Risdon Park South, to breath test the driver.

The 27-year-old Port Pirie South man allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.054. He was issued a fine and a driver direction notice.
