Two arrested after firearm found at New Town

Yorke Mid North Police attended a New Town address this morning, Friday 24 January.

It will be alleged officers found a firearm and ammunition in a rear yard.

The two occupants, a 27-year-old man and a 23-year-old man, were both arrested and charged with possess firearm without a licence.

The 27-year-old man was also charged with unlawful possession and possess prohibited weapon.  He was refused police bail and appeared in the Kadina Magistrates Court this afternoon.

The other man was bailed to appear in court on 28 March.
