Update: Lives lost revised – Beaufort

13 Feb 2025 12:27pm

The number of lives lost on South Australian roads has been revised following an investigation into the death of a man at Beaufort earlier this month.

About 5.25pm on Thursday 6 February, emergency services were called to the Augusta Highway, 4 kilometres north of Beaufort, after reports of a crash between a road train and a Yamaha motorcycle.

Sadly, the rider of the motorbike, a 28-year-old man from Hope Valley died at the scene.

The man’s death has been determined to be due to other issues.

As a result, the man's death will not be counted in the number of ‘Lives Lost’ on SA roads.

The current number of lives lost is 16.
