Yorke Peninsula drink driver

27 Dec 2024 11:41am

A driver has lost his licence after being caught drink driving on the Yorke Peninsula last night.

About 8.15pm on Thursday 26 December, Kadina police stopped a GWM utility on Irwine Street at Wallaroo for a random driver test.

The driver, a 71-year-old local man, was breath tested and returned a positive result of 0.104 – more than double the legal limit.

He was reported for drink driving and issued a six-month immediate loss of licence.  He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
