Description | See SAPOL’s cricket team, Southern Heat take on SA cricketers with an intellectual disability in a friendly exhibition game at Adelaide Oval from 3.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Each year in January, South Australia Cricket Association (SACA) hosts exhibition matches for teams who participate in the National Cricket Inclusion Championships. The event brings together Australia's most talented cricketers with a disability representing their State who compete for national titles, across three divisions - Blind and Low Vision, Deaf and Hard of Hearing and cricketers with an intellectual disability. This year the South Australian Police Cricket Club (SAPCC) has been invited to participate in an exhibition match who will support engagement with the community while representing SAPOL. Experience the joy of community cricket! Cricket isn’t just a game; it’s a celebration of skill, teamwork, and camaraderie that brings people together. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the sport, there’s nothing quite like the excitement of watching a local match unfold. This community game will showcase raw talent and the true spirit of the game, with players giving their all for the love of cricket. Bring your friends, family, and a picnic to your local ground this weekend and be part of the action! Enjoy the cheers, the thrilling moments, and the shared love for a sport that unites us all. Let’s come together to celebrate our community and the game we love. See you at the oval! Entry is free, via the Southern gate. |
